Thorobred, 18-30 | 1920-1923 |
From 1920 to 1923 the Thorobred, 18-30 was listed by Allen-Burbank. It was a high-priced outfit, selling for $2,500. A Nuttall selective shift transmission provided two forward speeds and one reverse. The final drive was made through internal spur gears to a live axle. The Thorobred used a four-cylinder Beaver motor; its usual accessories included a Dixie high tension magneto and a Bennett carburetor.
In 1923, Allen-Burbank was merged into Community Manufacturing Company at Los Angeles.
